Ahadi Chacha

Ahadi is a seasoned professional and consultant in internal auditing, risk management, control self-assessment, strategic planning and financial budgeting. He has vast public sector experience having been Chief Audit Executive (CAE) for over 13 years. As CAE he has had an opportunity to oversee formation and transformation of internal auditing functions of reputable public sector institutions in Tanzania. Prior to auditing, Ahadi worked as an accountant for the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and as a Bank examiner for the Bank of Tanzania. 

As former IIA Tanzania’s President, IIA Tanzania’s Vice President, and member of the IIA Tanzania’s Governing Board for over 10 years and Member of the IIA’s International Public Sector Committee, Ahadi has been actively involved in the development of the internal auditing profession in Tanzania and internationally.

As member of the International Public Sector Committee, Ahadi was part to the team that developed the Global Public Sector Insight on Independent Audit Committees in Public Sector Organizations which was released in June 2014.

A graduate of the University of Dar es salaam and Birmingham University (UK), Ahadi holds Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Master of Business Administration (International Banking & Finance) respectively. Professionally, he is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), FCPA, CCSA, CRMA, CGAP, Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP), and ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor to mention a few Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) and he hold various other professional certifications including.

Ahadi is internationally recognized certified IIA trainer having trained over 1000 participants locally and internationally.
